We run a monthly village walk on the 1st Saturday of the month. The walk starts at the Community Shop at 09.45 and is usually for around 90 minutes finishing back at the shop in time for coffee.
All are welcome.
Christian Aid Week
Every year, St. George's and the village of Weald celebrate Christian Aid week. Events are held throughout the week with tea and coffee being served on the Green daily. It is a great opportunity to have fun and raise money for Christian Aid.
Christian Aid week 2020 will be held from the 10th-16th May. More details of the programme will follow nearer the time.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
At St. George's we have a Prayer Shawl Ministry. Shawls are made by members of the church and distributed to those in need as appropriate. Shawls are given to those who are sick, bereaved, going through challenging times etc. and each is given through prayer. If you know of someone who you think could benefit from a Shawl or would like to be involved in this Ministry please contact Stephanie.
St. George's contribute regularly to the local food bank - Sevenoaks Loves and Fishes. The Loaves and Fishes Foodbank operates from St John’s Church Hall. It supports up to 40 families with young children by giving them a large bag of non-perishable food every week of the year. We collect non-perishable food and there is a box for collection at the back of the church.
