St. George's has an active outreach programme, both locally and internationally through its mission partners. Examples of our outreach activities include:

Link-Partership with St. Francis Strood

St. Francis Strood and St. George's have a parish link. We support one another in prayer, in outreach and have a Songs of Praise Service twice a year together.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

At St. George's we have a Prayer Shawl Ministry. Shawls are made by members of the church and distributed to those in need as appropriate. Shawls are given to those who are sick, bereaved, going through challenging times etc. and each is given through prayer. If you know of someone who you think could benefit from a Shawl or would like to be involved in this Ministry please contact our administrator.

Food Bank

St. George's contribute regularly to the local food bank - Sevenoaks Loves and Fishes. The Loaves and Fishes Foodbank operates from St John’s Church Hall.  It supports up to 40 families with young children by giving them a large bag of non-perishable food every week of the year.  We collect non-perishable food and there is a box for collection at the back of the church.

Christian Aid Week

Every year, St. George's and the village of Weald celebrate Christian Aid week. Events are held throughout the week with tea and coffee being served on the Green daily. It is a great opportunity to have fun and raise money for Christian Aid. We will provide more information about our planned activities in 2024 nearer the time
